Position Summary

This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full-Time, Fixed Term Part-Time (hours negotiable – minimum 20hrs per week) Resident Medical Officer (RMO) MID-YEAR appointments, commencing from May 2018 or later, at the participating WA Health Services listed below. Contracts of up to 24 months may be offered, at the discretion of the employing health services.

 

Closing Date: 2018-02-26 (YYYY-MM-DD) 12:00 noon Western Standard Time. 

 

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until Monday 16 April 2018 for the 2018 clinical year commencing in May 2018 or later.

 

Participating hospitals and health services include the following, as well as their general, regional and rural hospital placement sites:

 

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancies, it may also be used to fill other ‘similar’ vacancies throughout the above health services.

 

In addition to this, should a successful applicant decline a vacancy, then other applicants appointed to the pool may also be selected from this process.

Eligibility to Apply:

Applicants must be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and eligible to work in Australia. Further information can be found at: www.medicalboard.gov.au/Registration.aspx

Applicants must have worked for a minimum of 6 months as a registered medical practitioner in a hospital setting in Australia, New Zealand, the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, or Canada. Preference for appointment will be given to practitioners who gained this experience within the last two years.

  • Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia. Evidence of valid Australian citizenship, permanent residency, temporary residency (or eligibility to obtain) must be provided prior to commencement.

  • 100 Point Identification Check
  • Pre-Employment Health Assessment; and
  • Evidence of registration as a Medical Practitioner by the Medical Board of Australia must be provided prior to commencement.
