A unique and exciting opportunity is currently available for a suitably experienced and enthusiastic Consultant Paediatrician to join WA Country Health Service (WACHS) Kimberley.
This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time and Part Time appointments for 5 years with the possibility for extension(s).
Currently there are two 0.8 FTE positions available for an immediate start.
Position Profile: We have a busy 8-bed inpatient unit, a level 2 nursery with regional neonatal transports, and a fascinating outpatient program across the Kimberley region. We have a strong teaching focus, providing supervision of RACP and prevocational trainees, and opportunities to engage in Population Health and research activities. The team aims to set the standard for remote specialist services in Australia.
The successful applicant would have the ability to work autonomously and flexibly, have strong leadership skills, a willingness to undertake short trips through the region and an appreciation of the complexities of remote Aboriginal child health. Neonatal and diverse general paediatric & developmental experience is desirable.
