Consultant Emergency Medicine – MP Year 1-9 $375,863 - $477,340 p.a.

(Inclusive of base salary, 11% employer contributed superannuation and $31,926 professional development allowance).

Salary shown is per WA Health System Medical Practitioners AMA Industrial Agreement 2022. Shown as Fixed Term Full Time (80 hours per week)

 

This a Recruitment Pool for Various Fixed Term (Sessional, Part Time or Full Time) appointments for 5 years, with the possibility of extension(s). 

 

The South-West currently has positions available for immediate start with opportunities for Consultant Specialists in Emergency Medicine.

 

 

POSITION PROFILE

An exciting opportunity is available for a Consultant – Emergency Medicine. Responsible for the leadership of the multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive emergency services to patients of the Busselton Health Campus. Promotes patient quality and safety within the emergency department. Provides leadership, management, training, supervision and education for Senior Medical Practitioners in collaboration with the Director Emergency Medicine (Busselton) and the Medical Administrator.

 

Suitable candidates must be eligible for registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA). Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine or equivalent as well as possess substantial postgraduate medical experience in general medicine, general practice and/or emergency medicine.

 

The Margaret River Region is an area of magnificent beauty on the South West Coast of the beautiful state of Western Australia. Stretching from Busselton along the shores of Geographe Bay down to Augusta the most south-westerly point of Australia.

 

The area is blessed with spectacular and pristine beaches, abundant opportunities for outdoor activities such caves, adventurous walks and trails and world class surfing spots. It is also renowned for its divine cuisine, welcoming locals and award-winning wines in nearly every direction.
