Position Summary

A unique and exciting opportunity is currently available for a suitably experienced and enthusiastic Consultant - Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to join WA Country Health Service (WACHS) Kimberley.

This is a direct appointment for one Fixed Term Full Time (80 hours per fortnight) position until 06/11/2023, with the possibility for extension(s).

 

Position Profile: We are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced and enthusiastic person to the position of Consultant – Obstetrician and Gynaecologist.

In this role you will provide specialist Obstetric and Gynaecological services to patients in the Kimberley Region. This includes providing leadership, delivering excellent clinical performance and conducting outpatient clinic services at Kununurra and Broome Health Services and other regional hospitals. The successful applicant will have opportunities to participate in quality improvement programs, participate in world leading research and provide clinical governance, in particular for the east Kimberley.

Suitable candidates will be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and possess relevant qualifications and experience which is recognised by the Medical Board of Australia, including specialist qualifications recognised by RANZCOG.

Present funding is to 06 November 2023, and the position is subject to extension if ongoing funding is secured.
