Position Summary

This centralised Resident Medical Officer (RMO) recruitment process is for all applicants wishing to be considered for a position at the participating WA Health Services, listed below.

Current 2017 WA Health employed Interns wishing to be considered for an RMO position at a WA Health Service, other than where they are currently employed, also need to apply through this process.

If you are a current WA Intern wishing to continue at your current employing Health Service (Fiona Stanley Hospital, Royal Perth Hospital, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital OR WA Country Health Service) as a Resident Medical Officer for the 2018/2019 clinical years, you must apply through a separate process by submitting an Expression of Interest. This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full-Time, Fixed Term Part-Time (hours negotiable – minimum 20hrs per week) RMO appointments for the 2018 clinical year. 

Contracts may be offered for 6, 9, 12, 18 or 24 months.  

 

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 29 September 2017 for the 2018 clinical year commencing 15 January 2018.

* Joondalup Health Campus is part of Ramsay Health Care. Employment terms and conditions are contained within the Ramsay Health Care Employment Agreement. 

 

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancies, it may also be used to fill other ‘similar’ vacancies throughout the above health services. 

In addition to this, should a successful applicant decline a vacancy, then other applicants appointed to the pool may also be selected from this process.

Eligibility to Apply: 

Applicants must be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and eligible to work in Australia. 

Preference for appointment will be given to practitioners who have worked in Australian hospitals or competent authority hospitals within the last two years.

5. Evidence of English language skills registration standard (required, if applicable). 

6. Two recent End of Term Assessments (optional, hospitals may accept term assessments as an alternative to seeking formal referee reports). 

7. AMC Certificate (required, if applicable). 

8. AMC Multiple Choice Questionnaire results (optional, if applicable).
