This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time, Fixed Term Part Time or Sessional appointment(s) for up to 5 years.

Position Profile: We are seeking to establish a pool of skilled and suitably experienced people to the role of Consultant - Surgeon. Working as a member of the interdisciplinary team, you will provide both subspecialist Breast Surgery, as well as General Surgery, clinical care to patients, including allocations from the emergency general surgery roster, whilst promoting patient safety and quality of care. The successful applicant(s) will:
- Actively address clinical risks and delays in patient care for individual patients
- Actively engage in the Breast and Oncoplastic Multidisciplinary Team Meetings
- Educate and supervise junior medical staff
- Work with the Head of Department and other Consultant staff to manage planned and unplanned patient demand
- Achieve national performance outcomes and meet the National Safety and Quality Health Services Standards.
- Work within the Scope of Clinical Practice as defined and recommended by the EMHS Area Medical Credentialing Committee
Area Profile: Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) is Perth’s inner city, tertiary adult hospital and part of the Royal Perth Bentley Group. Home to the State Major Adult Trauma Service, RPH offers tertiary-level emergency medicine, mental health, complex and elective surgical care, and specialist medical services. It is also a premier teaching hospital and contributes to innovation and excellence in medical research and patient care.

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/03/2022.
