Location: Bunbury, Western Australia

This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time or Fixed Term Part Time appointment for up to 5 years, at various hours a fortnight to be negotiated with the Manager.

We currently have 5 positions available. 

 

Bunbury Hospital is further increasing its long term FACEM establishment, as part of service reform. We have several positions available.  Bunbury Hospital is undergoing significant capital works, including an expected helipad, to meet the increasing demand for high quality clinical services within the SW of WA. We are seeking dynamic FACEMs to join our cohesive ED team and who will be significantly based in the SW WA region. There are opportunities for career development with process design, teaching and improvements in patient transport. We enjoy a close relationship with the Rural Clinical School of WA. Several of our current FACEMs have appointments at the RCS. Applicants who expect to achieve FACEM within a limited time frame may be considered. Bunbury, and the SW of WA are blessed with abundant opportunities for outdoor activities, minimal traffic but still many services.

 

Other Conditions: WA Health engages staff in positions of trust and responsibility. WA Health policies require applicants to undertake criminal records screening and integrity checking as part of the appointment process. Referees may also be asked to comment on an applicant’s integrity and past demonstration of ethical behaviour.

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 01/08/2023.

 

Position Profile: We are currently seeking to appoint several Consultants – Emergency Medicine.

In this role you will ensure the provision of comprehensive clinical service in Emergency Medicine to patients of WA Country Health Service – South West and promote quality health outcomes for emergency medicine. You will also demonstrate leadership and role modelling.
