This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time Service Medical Registrar appointments for the 2018 Registrar Mid-Year intake commencing 06 August 2018.
Contracts may be offered for 6-12 months with the possibility of extension(s) and may commence earlier than 06 August 2018 should any vacancies arise.

Position Profile: Multiple vacancies exist for Service Medical Registrars, for appointment to one of 3 Primary Employing Health Services (PEHS):
Registrars will rotate across departments/services within the PEHS to which the registrar is appointed, including the PEHS’ associated placement and regional sites. Registrars may also be required to rotate to one or both of the other two PEHS’. The Service Medical Registrar provides patient assessment, management and care under the supervision of the relevant Consultants, within the context of a multi-disciplinary medical team. This role also provides teaching and support to Resident Medical Officers and Interns rotating through General Medical departments (including long stay and acute units) and various medical specialties (including but not limited to Cardiology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Geriatrics, Haematology, Infectious Diseases, Medical Oncology, Nephrology, Neurology, Rehabilitation, Respiratory Medicine, Rheumatology and Stroke).
Successful applicants may be allocated to any of the above departments or to leave relief.

Essential Selection Criteria 1. Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia Desirable Selection Criteria 1. Completion of skills courses conducted by the relevant college. 2. Prior experience with research and/or publication and/or clinical audit.
2. Statement addressing Essential Selection Criteria’s 2-7 listed in the attached JDF (Required). These statements are a requirement for assessment against the selection criteria, considered by the panel. 3. Proof of Citizenship and Residency status (Required) e.g. copy of passport and (if applicable) copy of current visa OR Australian birth certificate. 4. Evidence of English language skills registration standard (Required if applicable). Note: These documents should be complete and ready to attach prior to applying online.
