Position Summary

A unique and exciting opportunity is currently available for a suitably experienced and dynamic Consultant Psychiatrist, based at Geraldton Regional Hospital.

 

WA Country Health Service (WACHS) aims to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced, regional Generalist Consultant Psychiatrist, that has a passion rural health.

In this role, you will also provide clinical leadership, advice, consultation, liaison and support to health care professionals, other providers, and agencies, and to carers and consumers throughout the Midwest Mental Health & Community Alcohol & Drug Service. The position will be responsible for providing RANZCP accredited supervision to psychiatry trainees, junior medical staff, and medical students. The successful applicant will examine, assess, diagnose, and treat consumers referred to the Midwest MH&CADS. This position also promotes the organisational culture and principles of person-centred, trauma informed and recovery focused service delivery. Subspecialty qualifications are welcome.

 

Remuneration:

Consultant Year 1-9 $375,863 - $473,828

 

 (Inclusive of base salary arrangement A, 11% superannuation and applicable allowances as per AMA Industrial Agreement 2022).

 

 This position is recruiting to a full time/fixed term vacancy for 5 years, with the possibility of extension(s).
