Position Summary

Location: South West, Western Australia

 

MP Year 1 -3 $343,987 - $365,808 p.a. pro rata (inclusive of base salary, 11% superannuation and professional development allowance)

 

OR

 

$659.40 -$701.16 per session (inclusive of base sessional rate, 11% superannuation and professional development allowance)

 

 

This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time, Fixed Term Part Time or Sessional appointments at various hours per fortnight for 5 years, with the possibility of extension(s).

 

Western Australia’s Southern Forests and Valleys are calling for a team of Senior Medical Practitioner’s to join teams across South West – Inland health service.

 

Are you looking for a “tree change” as opposed to the “sea change” that has always been associated with the South West?

Do you want to relate to the land, nature and most importantly your patients? Joining the team in the South West – Inland will present redefined purpose and it may even by the place you never knew you wanted to relocate to!

  • Harvey Health Service
  • Warren Health Service

 

What is happening Inland?

Southwest – Inland health services are looking to strengthen their rural generalist workforce, with a strategic development for the South West – Inland to develop and become the next accredited training program for Rural Generalists / Generalist Practitioners.

Whether you are a fellow with the Royal Australia College of General Practice (RACGP) OR Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM), we are interested in you!

 

Regional profile:

WA Country Health Service (WACHS) - Inland Operations consists of eight hospitals, comprising two District Hospital, two small hospitals, three Multi-Purpose Sites (MPS) and one Nursing Post.  Inland spans in the north from the southern boundary of the South Metropolitan Health Service near Harvey, to Northcliffe in the south.  Inland has three district areas:

Blackwood - Covers the sites at Boyup Brook, Bridgetown and Nannup.

Wellington - Covers the sites at Collie, Harvey and Donnybrook.

Warren - Covers the sites at Manjimup (Warren), Pemberton and Northcliffe Nursing post.

Inland Services comprising Nursing, Allied Health and visiting medical practitioner services supported by Telehealth Services. Community Health, Community Mental Health and aged Care Services are provided across the Inland Directorate

We work very closely with all stakeholders in each town and across the Inland along with services providers located in the Regional centre at Bunbury.

This is a recruitment pool, and as such the following should be noted:

  • The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications and will assess on a regular basis.
  • Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur.
  • Appointments may be made from this pool until 30/09/2024.
