At WA Country Health Service, we’re actively searching for enthusiastic Advanced Trainees in General Medicine to join us in serving communities across various regions in Western Australia.

We have Fixed Term, Full time appointments available in various locations for 6 and/or 12 months commencing as soon as possible or August 2024.

Broaden your horizons in General & Acute Care Medicine in our regional centres.

As an Advanced Trainee with WA Country Health Service, you'll play a pivotal role in providing high-quality clinical care to general medicine patients. Working under the guidance of seasoned local physician consultants, you'll have the opportunity to expand your skills and knowledge while making a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of regional communities.

• Fortnightly WACHS Physician Journal Club
• Monthly WACHS Grand Round
• Weekly Local General Medicine teaching
• Weekly General Medical Nephrology teaching (hosted by Bunbury Hospital / virtual attendance)
• Virtual links to tertiary settings (Fiona Stanley, Royal Perth and/or Sir Charles Gairdner Hospitals)

ROLE ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for our positions you must hold AHPRA General unrestricted registration. Applications that do not meet this requirement will be rendered ineligible.

1. Successfully passed the FRACP written and clinical examinations at the time of interview and will have successfully completed all requirements of Basic Physician Training before the start of the 2024 advanced training year.
2. Satisfactory progression within the Physician Training Scheme.
3. Demonstrated clinical and procedural experience in a range of medical disciplines.
