WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is seeking experienced Consultant Psychiatrists to join the team in South West Region (Bunbury, Busselton and Margaret River).
This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term appointments for 5 years and with possibility of extension(s).
MP Year 1-9 $363,272 - $461,350 p.a.*
*Includes Arrangement A base salary $297,757—$386,515 p.a., professional development allowance $30,996 p.a. and 10.5% employer contributed superannuation.
Positions assigned to Heads of Department are entitled to a separate ‘Head of Department Allowance’.

About the Position
Come and join our growing team with exciting opportunities across our stunning region.
As a Consultant Psychiatrist, in our team you will:
- Provide clinical services servicing patients across the Southwest region, with teams based either in Bunbury, Busselton or Margaret River.
- Look after the clinical management of patients (including families and carers) of the South West Mental Health Service as a leader of the multidisciplinary team.
- Be a part of our exciting new WACHS wide Rural Psychiatry Training (RPTWA based in Bunbury) zone. You will be required to supervise RANZCP accredited trainees and junior medical staff.
- Participate in education of medical students from WA Rural Clinical School.
- Join our local psychiatry community with an active continuing medical education program and college peer groups.
Join an exciting innovative region with mental health services including, a 30-bed inpatient unit, Consultation Liaison service, Step up Step down, Adult community teams, CAMHS and Older Adult community teams, and plans to expand to have a MHOA and HITH in the coming years.
