The WAICTP coordinates the selection process, appointments and rotations for trainees in Phase 0, Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the CICM Training Program. The combined selection process and appointment of positions for the Pathway is carried out by the WAICTP Selection Committee. Representatives from all participating hospitals directly involved in the recruitment of intensive care medicine trainees are members of the WAICTP Selection Committee. The recruitment pool is managed by WA Country Health Service with employment contracts issued based on training rotation allocations.
