Position Summary

Location:  Western Australia

Hospital Site: Albany, Bunbury, Broome, Geraldton, Kalgoorlie, Karratha and Port Hedland Hospitals

 

Salary South of the 26th parrallel:

Registrar Year 1-7 $133,571 to $178,656 p.a.

*includes base salary $111,678 to $152,479 pa, professional development allowance $10,167 pa and 11.5% employer contributed superannuation.

 

Senior Registrar Year 1-2, $195,485 to $204,422 pa*

*includes base salary $163,766 to $171,854 pa, professional development allowance $14,528 pa and 11.5% employer contributed superannuation.

 

 Salary North of the 26th parrallel:

Registrar Year 1-3 $163,260 - $178,561 pa*

*includes base salary $135,950 to $149,673 pa, professional development allowance $10,472 pa and 11.5 employer contributed superannual.

 

HSMP Year 1-6, $254,914 to $302,786 pa*

* includes base salary $202,641 to $262,254 pa, professional development allowance $30,996 pa and 11.5 % employer contributed superannuation.

Fixed Term full time and part time appointment for 6 and 12 months commencing in February 2025, with the possibility of extension(s). 

Appointment will be made based on skills and experience.

 

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool and appointments may be made from this pool until 31/12/2024.

 

POSITION PROFILE

The position is accredited for up to 12 months of Advanced Training in General Paediatrics, although applications for 6 months will be considered if necessary. We are seeking an enthusiastic registrar to join our teams in one of six hospitals.

The hospitals sites included within the recruitment process are: 

  • Albany
  • Broome (STP funded position)
  • Bunbury (STP funded position)
  • Geraldton (STP funded position)
  • Kalgoorlie (STP funded position)
  • Karratha
  • Hedland (STP funded position)

There is a strong team of Consultant Paediatricians resident providing close supervision and support in each of our hospitals while also giving opportunities for independent practice.

Candidates for positions which are funded through the Australian Government Specialist Training Program (STP) must be in Years 1, 2 or 3 of their Advanced Training.  They cannot complete their training until the end of the STP funded position.
