Position Summary

This is a Recruitment Pool for the 2025 Fellow Radiology intake within South Metropolitan Health Service.

 

Fixed Term Full Time appointments for 12 months with the possibility of extension(s).

 

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 24/06/2024.


Position Profile:

Fiona Stanley Hospital Medical Imaging is the provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 sites in the south of Perth (Fiona Stanley Hospital, Fremantle Hospital and Rockingham Hospital).

 

Exciting opportunities currently exist for enthusiastic Radiology Fellows to join our Radiology Department.

 

The Department is equipped with a full range of state-of-the-art imaging equipment including multi-slice CT, MRI and high-resolution ultrasound equipment.  There is a wide range of interventional procedures performed, particularly in musculoskeletal, hepatobiliary, urological and oncology intervention.

 

Advanced Training Fellowship:

The Department can accommodate up to seven advanced training fellowships in any of the following sub-specialities: Interventional Radiology, Body Imaging, Thoracic Imaging, Breast Imaging, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Musculoskeletal Radiology.

 

There will be 6 positions available for 2025 in the following subspecialties:

 

  1. Abdominal Imaging Fellow                                          February 2025 start                        
  2. Cardiothoracic Imaging Fellow                                   February 2025 start
  3. MRI Fellow                                                                          February 2025 start
  4. Musculoskeletal Fellow (2 positions)                        August 2025 start (both)
  5. Breast Imaging Fellow                                                   August 2025 start
  6. Interventional radiology (non Neuro)                      February 2026 start (2025 filled)

 Advanced training fellowships are only available for candidates who have passed the Part II FRANZCR or equivalent.

Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service.
